HSA USES home > uses
Use your Health Savings Account to pay for medical expenses ranging from routine doctor visits to surgical procedures.
In order for HSA assets to retain their tax-free status, they must only be withdrawn and used for certain expenses, including:
- Healthcare coverage when unemployed
- Certain health insurance after age 65
- Actual medical expenses, such as doctor visits and dental care, including expenses for the following:
Alcoholism, Artificial Teeth, Bandages, Breast Reconstruction, Braille Books and Magazines, Chiropractor, Contact Lenses, Dental Treatment, Diagnostic Devices, Drug Addiction, Eyeglasses, Vision Correction Surgery, Fertility Enhancement, Guide Dog or Other Animal, Hearing Aids, Labor and Delivery Acupuncture, Oxygen, Prosthesis, Psychologist, Smoking Cessation Programs, Transplants, Weight Loss Programs, Wheelchair, Wig, X-ray.
